It also provides environmental benefits through the creation of a wetlands system that enhances biodiversity, supports wildlife habitats and contributes to high-quality green spaces across the campus. The investment helps secure the campus as a sustainable community asset while delivering lasting environmental, social and community benefits.

Project Impact:

Allenwood Community Development Association Company has built an ingenious method of addressing wastewater treatment at their campus. This critical piece of infrastructure delivers essential wastewater treatment as well as provides significant environmental and social benefits. Not only does it clean the wastewater using ecosystem services provided through a series of ponds while encouraging rich biodiversity, but the wastewater treatment facility will also enable Allenwood to expand childcare facilities and other services at the site that helps secure future growth and potential that delivers for the whole local community. Amazing to see such innovation that has such wide benefits.
