The Eastern and Midland Regional Assembly is committed to maintaining a strong anti-fraud culture and a zero-tolerance approach to fraud. The Eastern and Midland Regional Assembly safeguards public resources and considers this function to be a very serious matter. The Assembly strives to prevent, detect, and address fraud and irregularities through effective governance, proportionate internal controls, and continuous fraud risk management.
EMRA is completely intolerant of any activity which would threaten the organisation’s high ethical and legal standards, and which could be interpreted as dishonest, wrongful, criminal, fraudulent or corrupt. We insist that all our staff and stakeholders are alert to the risk of fraud, and behave in a manner that demonstrates meaningful contribution to a culture that is completely intolerant of and supported to detect and prevent fraudulent activities.
As the Managing Authority for EU funds, EMRA has a legal obligation to establish measures designed to prevent, detect and correct irregularities, and to recover sums unduly paid. Any attempt to defraud the EU budget and/or the exchequer is unacceptable and will not be tolerated and all such suspected incidents will be reported by EMRA to the relevant authorities for comprehensive investigation.
We would encourage anyone with genuine concerns to inform EMRA directly as a matter of urgency by emailing info@emra.ie
