Local Economic and Community Plan Submissions (LECP)

Under the Local Government Reform Act 2014, EMRA has a statutory role in the preparation of Local Economic and Community Plans (LECPs) by each local authority in the region.

Under this legislation, it is a requirement that each local authority submits a draft copy of the economic and community elements of their LECP Framework document to the Regional Assembly to ensure that their Local Economic and Community Plan (LECP) is consistent with the Regional Spatial and Economic Strategy as well as the City/County Development Plan that applies to the area of the LECP.
